Host a Suitcase Drive
This is the foundation of Nelli, Inc. and the most common way we work with donors. Here’s what hosting a suitcase drive would look like:
-We will answer any questions via call/email about hosting a Suitcase Drive before we get started
-Once you pick a date/location, we will create a flyer that can be printed and shared in person and online.
-Our founder Bruce Piercy can be present before/during the drive to provide support and facilitate the drive.
-Suitcases will be picked up and taken to our location for delivery to DCFS locations across the state of Utah
-Keep an eye out for a THANK YOU gift delivered to you!
Host a Teddy Bear Drive
A fun alternative to a suitcase drive,a Teddy Bear drive works great for a donation drive or Birthday Party in lieu of gifts. This cost friendly option is a great way to support Foster Care children. Hosting a Teddy Bear Drive could look like:
-Connect with Nelli, Inc. to discuss our mission and confirm what we’d need from you.
-Choose your drive date/location & we will create a flyer that can be printed and shared in person and online.
-We will come pick up the Teddy Bears and you will have given foster care individuals something cozy to snuggle changing their lives one small stuffed animal at a time.
Spruce Up
We try to provide brand new suitcases to Foster Care Youth but have also received many slightly used suitcases. A ‘Spruce Up Drive’ is a great way to get these suitcases cleaned up and ready to be gifted to Youth who are aging out of the Foster Care System.
This is great because the only cost to participants is their time!
We supply the suitcases and all cleaning supplies. You supply the location and the group.
Back to School
In addition to Foster Care youth often having their belongings in a trash bag, they often have little to no school supplies. This is a great service project to do during the ‘back to school’ season.
-Connect with Nelli, Inc for current needs (supplies, quantities, deadlines)
-Choose a timeline (2-4 weeks)
-We will create a flyer that can be shared in person and on social media with all information on what you are collecting, who it benefits (foster kids), drop off details and deadline.
-We will drop off a cleanly labeled collection bin to be placed at the collection point
-We will come pick up the collection bin once the timeline ends.
Volunteer
Have some extra time on your hands? Need community service hours? We have an endless list of ways you can help which include:
-Host a drive
-Prepare quilts for delivery
-Sew or craft quilts/duffle bags
-Volunteer at Community based events
-Coordinate partnerships/engage with local businesses, schools, or groups to support drives and donations.
-Transport donations : help pick up or deliver items to partnering agencies.
-Advocate and share - raise awareness through social media and community connections
-Provide financial support - contribute funds to help purchase high value items.
Become A Corporate Sponsor
-Financial Sponsorship: Provide monetary support to fund high-need items
-Program sponsorship - underwrite specific initiatives such as the suitcase, teddy bear, or quilt program
-Host workplace drives: organize company wide drives for suitcases or school supplies.
-In kind donations: contribute products, materials, or services aligned with our programs needs.
-Volunteer engagement: sponsor employee volunteer days for assembling and packing items.
-Event Sponsorship: support fundraising or community events through funding, materials or promotion.
-Cause Marketing Partnerships: donate a portion of sales or run co-branded campaigns benefiting Nelli, Inc.
-Logistics and Transportation Support: provide storage, shipping or delivery assistance for donated goods.
-Awareness and Advocacy: use corporate platforms to amplify the mission and impact of Nelli, Inc.
